Baby #3: Second Trimester Update

As I am writing this, I am 28 weeks and a couple of days. It is truly mind-blowing how quickly pregnancy can fly by. It’s also very true where they say each pregnancy is different from your last.

Overall, this pregnancy has been a roller coaster and I am basically ready for it to be over.

So let’s chat weeks 13-27:

Second Trimester Update.jpg

We announced baby #3 once we entered into the second trimester. They say the second trimester is the easiest and I would agree, however, I was dealing with severe nausea and vomiting, and crazy headaches, throughout my second trimester as well. Hence why I wasn’t posting about it. Between working, and already having two kids, especially one who wasn’t even turned two yet, is physically and mentally draining.

Towards the end of the second trimester is when I opened up a little more. Baby started kicking around 20 weeks. Baby kicks are the best! I started taking more bump pictures and buying some baby clothes.

I am thankful we don’t have to buy too much since we just had a little one in 2018. That helps out a lot. With us just having a second baby, we decided we aren’t going to do a baby shower with baby #3.

If you didn’t know, baby is due February 16th, and between working and the holidays, we don’t feel like it’s the right time or even necessary. Which is okay, not everyone has a baby shower.

Besides nausea and vomiting and headaches, I’m definitely carrying differently and all belly. I’m also seeing skin changes, with my skin being very dry and getting stretch marks this time around.

I did treat myself to a prenatal massage and it is pure heaven! I do prenatal yoga once a week as well and try to stretch every night.

I’m still taking my Rainbow Light prenatal vitamins, y’all know they are my favorite. I’m rereading all of my pregnancy books, just as a mini refresher.

Cravings have been horrible! I am eating so terrible which is the complete OPPOSITE of what I ate with my son. We are getting back on track with my diet because I cannot keep eating like this.

We also scheduled our hospital tour and infant CPR class at the beginning of the month!

We will be announcing the baby’s gender soon, so stay tuned for that!

It was fun catching up, guys! We’ll talk more things baby soon!

Love & Light,

Jalesa
