I've been trying out a lot of new makeup lately. I received a lot of stuff from BeautyCon NYC, you can read about my experience here, and I've ordered a few things as well, so I've had lots to try. These are the items I've been reaching for the most and have been really loving.
I wear this almost everyday. It's basically a tinted moisturizer but it does not feel greasy on the skin. It says on the packaging that it is a tinted face gel and does have a gel like texture that gives the skin a cooling feeling. It's so nice for the summer because no one wants to wear something heavy while it is super hot. You can rub it in with your hands like you would your moisturizer or with a beauty sponge if you choose.
This BrowGal by Tonya Crooks brush is amazing. I received it in my May Boxycharm, you can read more here, and I have been using this almost everyday. It is dual ended with a brush to brush through your brow hairs, and an angled, soft, and flexible brush to apply powder or pomade.
I finally purchased the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer and I am obsessed. It is a triangular brow pencil. I feel like I can really control the intensity and shape of my brow with this pencil and I feel like it fills in more than the defined, small tip brow pencils.
The City Color Bold Brow palette in medium was in my May Ipsy bag. It has a cool and warm tone brown powder to use. I mix both and use the BrowGal brush to apply.
This is a lip gloss I received from BeautyCon. I like it. I wear it throughout the day, daily. A little goes a long way so be careful not to over-apply. It isn't very long lasting, so keep that in mind.
Too Faced Lip Injection Glossy in Spice Girl
So this is a lip plumping lip gloss! You feel a tingly sensation for a couple of minutes and I swear I see results! Not crazy drastic results, but a little. The gloss is not gloopy or sticky and it lasts for a few hours. I bought this in the Sephora favorite nude lips which gave me a chance to try out a lot of different lip products.
Wet n Wild Color Icon Blush in 326B Rose Champagne
I love this blush. It is perfect for an everyday natural look that will give a natural glow. I feel like it's a 2-in-1 product. It can work as a blush or a natural highlight. I just swirl a big powder brush in the powder and pop onto the apples of my cheeks. I always get compliments when wearing this because like I said, it gives such a healthy glow.
I mentioned this product in my essentials for the beach, you can read more here. This liquid face illuminator is amazing. You can mix it with your foundation or apply onto your high points and it is so beautiful. It blends so nice as well but be careful not to go overboard.
I caved and finally made this purchase. I know every beauty guru owns this and there is a really good reason why. I bought it in light-medium and use it under my eyes. It is so creamy and easy to blend and has such full coverage. A little goes a long way with this stuff.
Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara
This mascara came in a sample kit and it is really nice. It provides more volume than length but it's not too wet and it doesn't clump my lashes together. It gives my lashes a beautiful natural fullness to them.
So there you have it loves, my current beauty favorites. I have a lot of higher end beauty products in this post and that's because these are brands I've been really wanting to try and I've been saving for them. I also recommend trying out the value sets with sample/trial sizes because they are decent sizes and it does take awhile to use up a product. I prefer trial sized items anyway. It's also more cost effective.
