Skincare for the Beach

S K I N C A R E

It is so important to take care of your skin while out in the sun. No one wants to carry around a ton of products every time they go to the beach or go out in the sun, so I picked few essentials for proper skin care while out and about in the sun.

First:

We need some sunscreen. I personally like sunscreen that you can spray on. It causes less mess. The Coppertone Sunscreen Spray in Clearly Sheer has been my go to for years. It has SPF of 50 which is perfect and it is very lightweight on the skin and does not leave your skin sticky. It is also water resistant for about 80 minutes. And did I mention there isn't a crazy scent?

Second:

We need protection on our faces. I typically don't use the same sunscreen on my body on my face. I opted for the Pixi Skintreats Sun Mist. This "shear" sunscreen has SPF of 30 and Chamomile and Bamboo extracts. It gives the skin a nice glow with the right amount of protection.

Third:

When we get sweaty, which we all do, and no one likes to be sweaty, I grab for my Simple Micellar Wipes. I can rave on and on about these facial wipes but just know they are refreshing on the skin and doesn't dry the skin out.

Optional:

I don't wear makeup when I'm out in the sun but it never hurts to glow, and no I don't mean the glow you get from sweating. The Pixi Glow Booster provides a beautiful glow to the face. You only need a little on the apples of your cheeks.

The sea water can really dry your hair out with all of the salt. What I like to do as a curly hair girl is dampen my hair and liberally apply some conditioner. My curls are moisturized and when my hair air drys my curls are poppin! Even if you decide to go for a dip in the ocean, you don't have to worry about a bad hair day because of the conditioner in your hair and when it dries. I went for the Herbal Essences Naked conditioner with sweet almond and mint essences. It doesn't make my hair feel weighed down and it makes my curls look great when dry.

What are some of your skincare favorites for a day out in the sun?

Enjoy!
