New E.L.F Products I'm Loving
E.l.f has always been one of my all time favorite makeup brands. They're super affordable and they're such good quality. Have you seen the new stuff they've been launching!?
I've gone a little crazy with my makeup shopping lately and these have got to be products I'm reaching for on a daily basis.
Let's start with Primer! I have oily skin. If you have been reading my blog for a while you would know this by now. haha. So I try to stay away from things that say "hydrating" or contain oil because I don't need to add anymore. My face oil hydrates my skin enough! haha. But this winter, my skin has been so dry. Dryer than usual. So e.l.f has really good reviews on their primers and I needed a primer that would hydrate my dry skin. Hence why I picked up their Hydrating Face Primer. At first, I was a little unsure on the consistency. It kind of feels silicone/gel like but it sinks into the skin quite nicely and doesn't mess with the added foundation on top. Does it hydrate my skin completely? No. I think I need a better moisturizer or facial serum before applying this but it has helped a lot.
Next the Makeup Mist & Set setting spray. After I have finished my makeup, I spray my face with this to kind of blur the powder and my skin and to set everything. No one likes cake face. It does its job quite well and the spray isn't bad. It sprays fairly even.
When I wear foundation, I like sheer to light/medium coverage. I don't like to pile on the makeup. I was unsure at first to try their foundations but again, e.l.f has really good reviews. This is their Beautifully Bare Foundation Serum SPF 25 in light/medium. I love it! It gives me such a natural look and it has the right undertone to it. Now it's not full coverage but I am able to build it in certain areas. Would I say it's long lasting, no. At least for me it's not, especially since I work long hours and touch my face and my natural oils just can't be contained sometimes. Overall, I reach for this foundation often. It even has a pump!
Now to conceal those under eyes! This is their HD Lifting Concealer in light. I tried it in medium and it was too dark. Light is exactly the right color. It doesn't brighten the under eye area but it gives good coverage. A natural type of coverage. And it's creamy and blendable. I use my fingers to blend it out.
Us oily girls gotta set our foundation. Again, I like light weight natural looking products. This is their Beautifully Bare Sheer Tint Finishing Powder in light medium. It's great, so let's leave it there.
The Beautifully Bare Natural Glow Total Face Palette has to be my absolute favorite product! It has a highlight, bronzer, and two blush shades. I grab for this product constantly. Their beautifully bare range has the best products for the most natural and subtle look. The two blush shades are a nice peach and pink that give your cheeks a natural flush. I highly recommend this product!
