Book Talk: The Woman in Cabin 10

I haven’t read a fiction book in quite some time. I saw my coworker reading this book and she said it was so good. She let me borrow it when she was done and I was instantly hooked. I never wanted to put it down.

It’s definitely a thriller and murder mystery. Nothing crazy scary though. It just keeps you guessing throughout and you still end up wrong at the end!

It’s about a journalist who works for a travel magazine and gets an opportunity of a lifetime and if all goes well, it’ll truly advance her career. With everything going astray at home, you would think to go on a luxury cruise ship would get her away from all of her troubles. She is sadly mistaken. With everyone else working on the assigned project, she gets distracted when she hears a noise and then sees a woman being thrown overboard.

From there it’s just twists and turns as this travel journalist turns murder mystery detective try to figure out what really happened that night. With a ship full of photographers, journalists, and rich peers, no one believes her or maybe they do, they’re just trying to shut her up.

I had tried to guess how everything would unfold throughout the entire book and had no idea what was getting ready to be revealed until the author reveals it. Ruth Ware did a really great job with the story-line.

I recommend picking it up or even listening to it on audio. It will not disappoint.
