2019 Beauty Favorites

I would say 2019 was the year of minimal makeup wearing. With spending the majority of the year pregnant and with lots of beach trips, makeup wasn’t a thought for me. Now don’t get me wrong, I love makeup and all things beauty. My list of favorites was just very slim this year.

Here were my favorites of the year, in no particular order.

For my nails, I have been wearing the same soft, bubble gum pink on my nails for the majority of the year. It just looks so soft and subtle but still very noticeable and wears flawlessly. It’s by Essie, Muchi Muchi 104.

Incorporating oils into my skincare has been a big thing for me this year. I’ve been loving the Derma e illuminating Rosehip & Cranberry face oil. I add a few drops into my daily moisturizer and it adds the perfect glow and hydration to my skin. It wears well under makeup but looks great on your no-makeup days.

Another oil I’ve been loving is The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rosehip Seed Oil. I apply this before going to bed at night and it hydrates and eliminates imperfections of the skin. I’ve been noticing huge improvements in the appearance of my skin throughout the year using this product.

Lastly, I’ve added The Ordinary Hylauronic Acid 2% + B5 into my winter skincare routine since I was experiencing some serious dry skin this season. I definitely recommend this stuff. I have repurchased this about 4 times now and it’s so inexpensive.

Y'all know I have a thing for lipsticks. The three main lip colors in rotation all year long have been the Nars Tolede Satin Lipstick, the Nars Afterglow Lip Balm in Orgasm, and the Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink 65 Seductress. They just wear so well, feel comfortable on the lips, and are super easy to reapply without a mirror.

Another favorite product of mine is blush! The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure has been my everyday blush color. When I want a little bit more of a glow and highlight, I’ve been loving the Nars Blush Duo in Orgasm. Do not be intimidated by the glitter. It doesn’t come off as glittery at all.

I can’t forget to add my favorite brow duo, the e.l.f. ultra-precise brow pencil in taupe and the e.l.f. clear brow/lash gel. Very inexpensive and makes it so easy to create an effortless, everyday brow look.

Since I have been very minimal with makeup this year, I’ve opted for the PIxi H2O Skin-tint and the Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation Powder. They give just enough coverage and color for an everyday natural look. Pairing this with my e.l.f Total Face Palette made for such a quick and easy everyday makeup look. The total face palette includes a bronzer, two blushes, and a highlight.

My makeup routine does require a lot of powders, so I always mist my face when done to kind of melt everything together. I have repurchased this product many times too, and it is the Pacifica Coconut Essence Hydro Mist. Not only does it smell good but the mister on this provides the perfect face spray without drenching your face.

So there you have my personal 2019 beauty favorites. I’ve got my eyes on a few new makeup pieces that have come out and that I really want to try, so make sure to stay tuned for those.
