Winter Skincare Routine

I have never had a Winter skincare routine until this season. I have oily skin. Anyone who reads my blog knows that by now, but this year, my skin has been so dry! I mean crazy dry. So, I had to figure out a new skincare routine that would work best for this dry season I’m currently going through.

Here’s what’s been working for me:

First up, I had to switch up my cleanser. I am a big fan of Derma E and decided to try out their Hydrating Gentle Cleanser with Hyaluronic Acid. This stuff feels so nice on the skin and is such a light cleanser. I use this morning and night.

Next, I apply my Derma E Hydrating Eye Cream which I have used many times before and is my favorite hydrating eye cream that I have used. I instantly knew to repurchase this when I started getting dry patches under my eyes.

For day time moisturizing, I use the Derma E Hydrating Day Cream. This stuff is so lightweight, non-greasy, and works great under my makeup. I have no problem at all blending this into my skin.

For night, I use the Shea Moisture 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Daily Hydration Overnight Face Oil. I was originally nervous to try this because I have heard horror stories of people putting coconut oil on their face. There are other ingredients in this besides coconut oil and so far so good, no crazy breakouts! You guys know I enjoy my Shea Moisture products from my Current Skincare Routine post and others.

As I mentioned earlier, my under-eye area has been extremely dry, so I’ve occasionally been using the e.l.f Hydrogel Under Eye Masks. They’re better than some eye masks I’ve tried before but I wouldn’t say they are amazing! I haven’t seen any crazy results.

For the occasional mask, I like to use the Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Hydrating Mud Mask. I mentioned this mask in my favorites and still continue to enjoy using this. My face feels so nice afterwards. For something a little more intense and when I have more time, I’ll use the Dr. Jart Hydration Lover Rubber Masks. Dr. Jart has some of my favorite sheet masks.

So this is what I have curated as my Winter skincare routine, and my skin isn’t as parched as before. Also, I upped my water intake as well because if we’re being honest, I was slacking.

I’m currently doing some research on pure hyaluronic acid to use, so leave any recommendations down below or any other of your favorite hydrating products.

Love & Light,

Jalesa
