First Nats Game
I'm not a baseball fan. I don't know much about baseball but when my husband said his job was going to a game, did I want to go, I said yes because why not. I like to try new things and learn new things and this was a new experience I did not want to miss out on.
Overall it was a lot of fun and I want to go to many more games. We hung out in the bullpen for awhile before the game actually started. We had a few drinks, shared a few laughs, and got to know more of Johnathan's coworkers.
A little after the game started we headed to the gates to grab some hot dogs and to find our seats. I mean how can you go to a baseball game and not have a hot dog!? We had great seats! We were sitting in section 106 right along the third base line. It was awesome!
I will say that despite me not knowing much about baseball, I knew when to cheer and when to boo. I learned there are 7 innings in a game and how strikes work.
We sung, we laughed, we waved our caps in the air, and we watched some of our American presidents race around the baseball field, which is apparently a big deal and very funny to watch.
Would I say I'm a baseball fan, no, I still have much to learn but I am willing to learn more.
If you haven't been to a baseball game, I would recommend going even if you're not a fan. The atmosphere is worth it alone.
And might I add, we did win against the Orioles last night.
Enjoy!
