Curly Hair Tips & Tricks
I didn't always love my curly hair. A few years ago you would catch a flat iron always to my hair. I think I didn't love my curls as much as I do now is because I didn't know how to properly care for them. So I wanted to share some tips and tricks I've learned throughout the years to really help your curls thrive.
- Your curls love conditioner. They need to stay moisturized. For every bottle of shampoo I go through, I go through two bottles of conditioner.
- Deep Condition at least once a week.
- Don't use heat, and if you do, use cool air.
- Embrace the frizz.
- Learn to pineapple your hair to preserve your curls.
- Do not scrunch your hair while washing your hair.
- Finger detangle while your hair is wet.
- Air dry your hair as much as possible.
- Your curls are not afraid of water and neither should you.
- Sulfate should not be in your styling products. However you may use a sulfate shampoo every once in awhile if you have product build up.
- Switch up your products and listen to your hair.
- Shrinkage will happen.
- Length is not always the most important. So get regular trims.
- Love your curls and embrace them!
Enjoy!
