October Beauty Favorites
Fall makes me experiment with makeup a lot more. I'm not too worried about my face melting off and I can experiment with eyeshadow and different lip colors. It's also when I start to change up my skincare because my skin starts to have different needs in the colder months.
These are the beauty products I've been reaching for this month:
M A K E U P
PUR Soiree Diaries eyeshadow palette: I received this palette in a Boxycharm recently and I almost died! I remember when PUR released this and I instantly fell in love. The palette design is gorgeous and comes with a nice size mirror. And the colors are right on for me. You get 4 matte shades, 4 satin shades, and 4 shimmer shades and all are extremely pigmented and buttery. It has definitely become an essential palette for me.
Tarte Tarteist lip paint in Delish: Another Boxycharm goodie. I instantly fell in love with this color and have been wearing it constantly. The best part is how long it stays put and how comfortable it is to wear. I think it's also a gorgeous Fall color.
Sonya Esman x Colourpop Here Comes the Sun Super Shock Cheek Palette: I hate to add this because it was a limited edition collab with Coloupop but the blush has been my go to. It is such a gorgeous deep peach color for Fall with a beautiful satin finish.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer in Taupe and Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel: Y'all know I am a fan of this brow pencil. It is my go to when I am not being cheap. I treated myself to it recently and I am still in love. I just so happened to pick up the clear brow gel as well because it was 40% off so I was like why not. I am torn on how I feel but I continue to use it. It doesn't make the eyebrows hard or crusty. It truly is clear and the brush is quite nice. What I struggle with is the smell. It has an alcohol smell to it during application and it kind of bothers me. But this stuff helps attain the feathered brow look I like.
Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Strut: This color is gorgeous! I think I got it in a Boxycharm. It's such a pretty deep mauve color and it doesn't dry out my lips. It dries really quickly and doesn't transfer everywhere. It lasts a pretty good amount of time. The only thing is I would use a lip liner or a brush to line your lips because it can get messy.
S K I N C A R E
L'oreal Paris Pure-Clay Mask: I wanted this since I saw the commercial for it. I am all for clay/charcoal masks. I use this about 2 times per week and leave on for about 10 minutes. It's not super hard to take off but keep in mind charcoal masks can get messy with removal. It's a detox and brightening mask which I can see my skin looking and feeling better right after use.
Derma-e Very Clear Moisturizing Cream: I originally did not like this cream because of how thick it was, but now during the colder months, my skin can use the extra moisture. I use it with the cleanser since I have oily/acne prone skin. With consistent use, I see much improvement in my skin and with breakouts.
Hanalei Lip Treatment Rose: This stuff is my favorite! I have been suffering from dry lips lately but my lips feel so nice after using this. This is a lip treatment that I actually feel like it works.
And there you have my October beauty favorites. As always I will link everything mentioned or something similar to the original product. I'm sure these favorites will follow me into the next month. What has been your go to this month?
Love & Light,
