Sunday Adventures & A Little OOTD
Sunday is all about our family adventures and trying new things and creating new experiences. Today we tried a new church in DC. We love our home church back in Virginia but we feel like God is calling us to find a new church closer to home. We went to the National Community Church, the barracks row campus, and let me tell you, I fell in love.
If you're familiar with Mark Batterson, the author of If, All in, and the Circle Maker, he is the lead pastor and founder of NCC. There are many campuses of NCC around DC and Virginia and there's even a cute coffee shop that Johnathan has been to and I can't wait to explore.
Today was such a good experience and with reading their core values and mission statement, I want to learn more about this church and what God has in mind for our family. Jordan learned so much in children ministry in such a short time frame, that it just melts my heart. For example, they created a telescope to see the stars that God created in the book of Genesis. It was great!
Going to this church also gave us an excuse to walk through Eastern Market once again and pick up some Vigilante coffee, as well as take some outfit of the day photos in a hidden ally of DC.
Outfit details: shirt> Marshall's : pants> Aeropostale : shoes> Cole Haan : Bag> Old Navy
On the way home we even discovered a little play kitchen that someone was giving away for free, so Johnathan picked it up and carried it about five blocks home to clean and set up for Jordan to play with.
All in all, I would say today was a win-win, now that we are eating tacos and watching Tangled. I think tonight will be an early night. The exhaustion is really starting to settle in, or maybe that's just the food.
Enjoy!
