Beach Trip Essentials

I think less is more when packing for the beach. 90% of the time you'll just be in a bathing suit anyway, plus who wants to carry a ton of stuff through hot sand!

Here are our personal essentials when heading to the beach:

• sunscreen (lots of sunscreen)

• bathing suits (at least 2 if you're staying for more than one day)

• sandals (hot sand is not fun to walk on)

• book to read

• beach towels

• picnic blanket

• beach tent canopy (better than a beach umbrella)

• beach toys for sandcastles!

• ziplock bag for seashells and sandy clothes

• beach bag to carry everything

• small cooler with water and finger foods like sandwiches and fruit
