The Best Ideas for A Day Date

They tell you time and time again to date your spouse and I agree. Having consistent dates are essential in a healthy marriage or any relationship.

One of the things my husband and I enjoy the most are day dates. They fit into our schedule and there’s no need to hire someone because the kids are in daycare or school.

These are personally our favorite things to do for a day time date:

You can never go wrong with food. Take the time to go grab a coffee, or go sit at a restaurant, or weather permitting, or not, go grab ice cream. Just sit and talk and really check-in with each other.

Sometimes having a date during the day at home is easiest. Grab a board game and go head to head or cuddle up on the couch and have a good read or bible study together. Go on a nature walk and walk your dog. Put away the phones and tech and reconnect in your everyday space.

This doesn’t need to last for hours, but carve out a dedicated time for each other, at least once a week.

These dates, take a little more planning, but still a lot of fun. Take a hike together, or go visit a few museums neither of you have been to. Go see a matinee or do a fitness or yoga class together. These are a little more active and gives you a chance to reconnect with your significant other in a different way that allows room for encouragement.

I hope this post gets you thinking outside of the box and planning your next day date.

Love & Light,

Jalesa
