February was a busy month for us. We've been adulting like crazy trying to get things in order before March because March is an even busier month for us!
We've had this running joke going that we live in a frat house because our couches were absolutely horrible. We also owned one bowl and one butter knife and only drank out of coffee mugs. We could have easily taken care of these things earlier but we had a system that worked for us and didn't see the urge to "fix" it all. Eventually, we had enough and thought our frat years were over and it was time to get big people cups and bowls, better couches that you didn't sink into when you sat down and more than one butter knife. We've been hardcore spring cleaning and to be honest, I think it took the reality check of having a newborn to really adultify our house. Our house looks so grown up now, and it's so hard to believe it's ours. One of my goals for 2018 was to finally make our house feel like a home and it's definitely getting there.
Getting our house together and completing some baby shopping this month and sending out baby shower invites really had us thinking how in the world are we going to balance it all!? We're going from a family of 3 to 4, working, and my husband and I are both going back to school in the upcoming months. We still can't envision how it's all going to work out but we're trying our hardest to make the transition as smooth as possible.
I'm entering in my 8th month of pregnancy and the countdown is on to #meetbabydoodson.
With all the adulting that took place this month, we did manage to squeeze in some date nights and family fun.
My husband and I went to go see Black Panther opening weekend and it was amazing! Enough said there.
My best friend's birthday was this month and we went out to Sugar Factory in Arlington to celebrate. It was definitely an experience. I will say the burger was good and I'm glad I was able to celebrate with her. I don't know how my best friend does it, but her birthday flowers are still alive!
One of our favorite coffee shops, Ebenezer's Coffeehouse, had their grand reopening and the new design is beautiful.
My older sister and I went to the Artechouse for this Pararell Universe exhibit. It's where they mix art and technology together. It was pretty interesting. They have different exhibits all the time.
I believe that's really all I can think of. I know it was a slow month for blogging. I had many technical issues. Hopefully, my blogging schedule will remain consistent throughout March. I have so many posts I want to share.
I do have some February beauty favorites that you can check out here.
We'll talk soon!
